Faye Jones

Faye Jones works tirelessly with a dedicated staff to espouse the mission of their organization, MOSES. That mission is to educate, inspire, and empower farmers to thrive in a sustainable, organic system of agriculture; and, toward that end, MOSES organizes the largest annual organic farming conference in the country in La Crosse.

“We believe farmers learn best from farmers,” Faye explains. “So, many of our programs are based on that sort of peer-to-peer model. For example, we have a mentoring program where we’ll pair an experienced organic farmer with either a new one or someone transitioning into organic.”

Faye also believes that it’s important to “think globally and act locally,” so her relationship with WESTconsin Credit Union, a local financial cooperative, is a perfect fit. When she contacted WESTconsin to inquire about a mortgage, she was pleased to learn that the representative she’d reached was already aware of MOSES.
