$MART CU Opens at Baldwin - Woodville High School

BALDWIN, WI— WESTconsin Credit Union introduces $MART CU at Baldwin – Woodville High School. Students and staff now have convenient access to an interactive financial education program right on site. The program represents a partnership between WESTconsin Credit Union and the Baldwin – Woodville School District to provide a fully-functioning financial office that will help support financially literacy among District students and families.
The new office is located adjacent the school store, and is staffed and operated by student tellers with supervision from WESTconsin personnel. District students and staff have immediate access to financial resources, information and products. Open hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday during specified lunch periods.
Baldwin - Woodville joins Menomonie, New Richmond and Amery as the fourth high school site WESTconsin Credit Union operates. Wisconsin schools are becoming more involved in teaching financial issues to their students before they graduate, and are including hands-on activities into their curriculums.WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Isanti, Ramsey, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
