WESTconsin Credit Union is offering $1,000 scholarships to 15 high school seniors of the Class of 2023 as part of its Student Scholarship Program. The goal is to award one scholarship in each community served by a WESTconsin office. Maddie Weber, Member Advocacy Coordinator, explains more on this month's WEAU 13 News Morning Connection.

How do students apply?

Students must be a member of WESTconsin Credit Union and have thier own account (primary account holder) as of August 31, 2022, prior to their senior year. The application must be submitted online via AwardSpring on or before March 1, along with two letters of recommendation.

I'm a high school junior and would like to apply next year. What do I need to do to prepare?

You will need to be a member of WESTconsin Credit Union and be a primary account holder as of August 31, 2023, prior to your senior year. To become a member, stop by your local WESTconsin Credit Union office or submit a New Member Information Form online and we will contact you to schedule an appointment.

Over $324,000 has been awarded since the start of the program in 1995. Winners of this year's scholarship will be announced in May. See the full Morning Connection video below or visit the Scholarship Program webpage for more information.
