WESTconsin Credit Union Hosts Annual Meeting; Announces Board of Directors

WESTERN WI—WESTconsin Credit Union held its 79th Annual Membership Meeting on March 19, 2019 at the Menomonie High School Auditorium. A complimentary meal was served prior to the meeting and attendees enjoyed watching the WESTconsin Journey, down the yellow brick road, with a slideshow that highlighted the credit union’s history and its 80th Anniversary.

At the meeting, Board Chairperson Dave Maves provided a review of the Board activities and highlights for 2018. Lora Benrud, Chief Executive Officer, reviewed the financial statement and annual report. Rita Lunderville provided the Audit Committee Report and Lynn Brantner conducted the Board election. 

Members in attendance participated in the election process of two Board of Directors’ positions. Collen Mensing was re-elected to the Board for another three-year term.

Lynn Brantner has served on the Board for 21 years and decided not to seek re-election. Karen Flug was elected to take Lynn’s place on the Board. WESTconsin thanks Lynn for her years of service and wishes her the very best!

The following individuals have been elected as Board Officers:

  • Chairperson – Dave Maves
  • Vice Chairperson – Jerry Wolf
  • Secretary – Colleen Mensing
  • Treasurer – Rita Lunderville

Additional Board members include Karen Flug, Dale Dahlke, and Todd Leipnitz.

WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Isanti, Ramsey, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
