WESTconsin was Awarded the Outstanding Community Partner Award at the Junior Achievement Hero's Gala

WESTERN WI— WESTconsin Credit Union was awarded the Outstanding Community Partner award for continued efforts with the program. Jeff Jaeger, Julie Kahl, Amanda Kahl, and Jennifer Rathke attended the Junior Achievement Hero’s Gala to represent WESTconsin Credit Union.

The Junior Achievement Hero’s Gala emcee had to say"WESTconsin Credit Union has received this award four years in a row and is committed as ever. They are impacting students in the elementary, middle and high school levels. Starting with area kindergartner’s right up to area high school seniors.  WESTconsin Credit Union increased their volunteer commitment again this past year from 28 to 42 volunteers this school year alone. They delivered 43 Junior Achievement programs inspiring more than 1,000 area youth. This team of volunteers infiltrated 24 northwestern Wisconsin schools in eight school districts that include Altoona, Eau Clare, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, Elk Mound, Durand, Downsville and Knapp. They are a key volunteer partner who have been an active community partner and have provided many outstanding volunteers serving in the classroom, serving on special event committees and our board of directors. Thank you and congratulations WESTconsin Credit Union, you are truly a Junior Achievement champion."

WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Isanti, Ramsey, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
