MENOMONIE, WI— WESTconsin Credit Union is proud to announce that the organization’s Chief Information Security Officer, Michael Tomasek, has been named a 2021 Info-Tech CIO Awards winner by Info-Tech Research Group, a leading IT research and advisory firm.

Tomasek is recognized as one of the top winners for the Small Business division. Since 2016, the Info-Tech CIO Awards have recognized outstanding industry leaders for delivering exceptional value to their organizations and for achieving high scores in stakeholder satisfaction in Info-Tech’s CIO Business Vision program. This program measures an organization's satisfaction with IT’s core services and provides CIOs with the foundation to jumpstart a successful IT strategy.

Tomasek says, “without the efforts our both of our IT Teams at WESTconsin, this achievement would not have been possible.” He continues, “the hard work that our IT team has put in this year has been invaluable to the operations and the safety and security of the technology we use every day.”

There were 372 contenders for the 2021 awards. The winners of the Info-Tech CIO Awards are determined based on IT satisfaction and value scores, as assessed and quantified by participating organizational leaders. “The Info-Tech CIO Awards spotlight the essential attribute of an IT leader’s success, which is the ability to satisfy their stakeholders,” says Geoff Nielson, senior vice president, global services and delivery for Info-Tech Research Group. “Recipients personify how IT should deliver business value, especially during unprecedented times. It is our honor to acknowledge the 2021 honorees, who have made amazing strides and achievements for their respective organizations.”
