Student Loan FAQs

Returning Borrowers:

If you have already submitted an application, you can check the status of your application.

  • Do you have to repay these loans immediately or are they deferred?

There are three repayment options for you to select from:

    1. Immediate repayment of principal and interest; or
    2. Interest only payments while in school; or
    3. Deferment of principal and interest payments for 6 months until the student ceases to be enrolled at least half-time in an eligible school.
  • When does repayment begin?

Repayment of principal and interest on each loan will begin six months after the student ceases to be enrolled at least half-time. The six-month period between the in-school and repayment period is called a grace period. If the immediate repayment of principal and interest is selected there is no grace period available.
