WESTconsin Credit Union partners with Accel Members Financial Counseling to provide members with access to financial education and counseling services. These services are free of charge to all WESTconsin members. Accel, a financial counseling program, has been helping individuals for more than 40 years.

Financial counselors are available to assist with all of the following aspects of financial planning:

  • Personal and family budgeting
  • Understanding your personal credit report and how to improve your score
  • Personal money management
  • Debt repayment
  • Avoiding bankruptcy, foreclosure and repossession

Accel can give personalized answers to your specific financial planning needs. For issues ranging from a proactive savings plan to saving a home from foreclosure, advice is only a phone call away.

BudgetSmart is a new and exciting software program now available on our website. This easy-to-use software tool uses simple graphics, pop-up boxes and bar charts to help you manage your money more effectively. Download the program to your computer free of charge and take another step towards sound financial planning.

Financial Calculators—If you are looking to determine the cost of a loan, your monthly mortgage payments or how much interest you will end up paying should you make only the minimum required payment on your credit card bill, Accel offers a listing of simple financial calculators.

Financial Education Articles—Accel’s information library contains pertinent information on many personal financial topics such as consumer awareness, credit reports, credit rights, credit scoring, financial difficulty, housing, kids and money, money management, retirement and more.
