WESTERN, WI—WESTconsin Credit Union’s beloved mascot, Fin Lee Fox, has been busy spreading smiles and surprises this past summer! Fin Lee recently popped into grocery stores and farmer’s markets in Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, New Richmond, Prescott, and Rice Lake surprising shoppers with gift cards to help cover a portion of their grocery bills. The Shop with Fin Lee Fox special event is part of WESTconsin’s broader Kindness Counts initiative, aimed at spreading joy and kindness within our communities.
72 individuals and families were positively impacted by this unexpected gesture of kindness. With this event, WESTconsin not only gives back to those in the local community but hopes to showcase that small acts of kindness have the power to create meaningful change and build stronger relationships.
“This event is about more than just picking up a grocery bill, which we know is straining families’ budgets more than ever,” said Jenny Rathe, Vice President – Member Advocacy. “We want to show that whether it's a smile, a helping hand, or paying it forward, every act of kindness counts. Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness that touches many lives and strengthens our community.”
