Have you started your spring cleaning yet? Don’t forget to include reviewing your finances in your checklist! Reviewing your accounts on an annual basis to make sure everything is up to date and accurate is a great way to keep your information secure and protect yourself from fraud.

Here are some things to review:

  1. Account Ownership

This includes joint owners, authorized signers, and double-checking beneficiaries are on file and current. This ensures you know exactly who has access to your accounts and can make any adjustments that may be out of date.

  2. Contact Information

Having your current address, phone number, and email on file allows us to deliver important updates and timely notifications to you, provides uninterrupted access to your accounts and services, and helps safeguard against fraud.

  3. Recurring Payments

Make sure you know exactly what’s coming out of your account! Double-check any auto payments, transfers, or subscription amounts and verify how frequently they’re occurring. This will allow you to cancel anything you may have forgotten about or aren’t using.

  4. Documents

Stay on top of organizing your files and shred your important documents that are no longer needed. Don’t forget to review and organize your digital files too!

  5. Passwords

To continue keeping your information secure, update your passwords on a regular basis. Follow recommended complexity guidelines to make it harder for fraudsters to figure out and use a unique password for different sites.
