Two New Vice Presidents - Retail Operations Focus on Consistent Member Experience

WESTconsin Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Kyrah Klika and Tara Buechner to Regional Vice Presidents – Retail Operations. Each of the Vice Presidents will cover half of the 14 locations across western Wisconsin to help create a more consistent member experience in each office.

Klika will serve the Eastern offices of Altoona, Eau Claire, Menomonie, Chippewa Falls, Barron, and the future Rice Lake. She has been a valuable member of the WESTconsin team for the last 10 years, originally as a Member Service Representative in the Menomonie-Downtown office and eventually transitioning to Office Vice President – Chippewa Falls. Klika graduated from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School in 2022 and earned her Credit Union Executive (CUE) designation. She said her experience and education will help her focus on strengthening member relationships in her new role.

“Our future growth and success as a credit union relies heavily upon our retail teams to remain committed to our core values. In this new role, I look forward to helping each office find their success that ultimately helps our members succeed and fulfill our mission,” said Klika.

Buechner will serve the Western offices of River Falls, New Richmond, Amery, Prescott, Ellsworth, Baldwin, and Hudson. She has been with WESTconsin for over 16 years, working in six different retail roles, most recently as Office Vice President – Ellsworth/Prescott. Buechner serves on the Prescott Kiwanis and Pierce County Economic Development Corporation boards, as well as the Pierce County Hunger Prevention Council. Throughout her career, she said she has found a love for leadership, helping people, personal growth, and a true belief in the Credit Union Difference.

“Moving into this new role will provide an opportunity for me to unite teams in various locations to share best practices and edge towards greater consistency. I look forward to giving back to those offices in a leadership capacity where I began my career with the credit union and gained my previous experience,” said Buechner.
